Join us this year for a 7-month immersion into plant medicine. In this multifaceted, in person apprenticeship, we will dive deeply into the foundations of traditional herbalism and plant medicine magic. Course will include: •Materia Medica for 75+ local and global medicinal herbs •Bioregional medicinal plant walks + identification •Overview of body systems including anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology for herbalists •Herbal energetics, intuitive herbalism + flower essences •Comprehensive plant medicine preparation and formulation •History and practice of herbalism in indigenous, folk, western and medical systems •Ethical and sustainable harvesting of wild plant medicines + herb gardening •Seasonal, traditional and astrologically inspired ceremony •Reconnection with natural earth cycles •Holistic nutrition, wild foods and delicious recipes •Opportunities to practice and share newly developed skills...case studies, home study, presentation, building home apothecary, herbal first aid •200hr herbal study certification (112 hours in person, 88 home study) upon completion of required projects and classes •Several guest teachers ...and lots more! Classes will meet every 4th weekend of the month from April-Oct. Sat. and Sun. from 10am-6pm Specific dates and topics will be posted soon! Classes will be co-facilitated by Michelle Becker (www.foremothermedicine.com) and Grace MacNeil (www.monarchapothecary.com) who bring 20+ combined years of herbal education and experience to this program. Both Grace and Michelle are also registered nurses with 8+ years of clinical practice in holistic and medical healthcare settings. Space is limited to 12-15 individuals.
